A safe, structured, and drug-free environment for independent living

Sunlight Sober Living provides the newly sober individual with a built-in support group where help and a sense of fellowship and accountability can be found. Living in a supportive, communal environment increases the chances of achieving long-term success and a purposeful life in recovery.

We offer a sober living environment where residents may grow as individuals while being a part of a larger family in recovery, men and women who:

  • Are serious about their personal recovery

  • Wish to surround themselves with a community supportive of their recovery

  • Want to build success in long-term sobriety

Our Homes

Sunlight homes are clean spacious 3-story houses with newly remodeled kitchens. The kitchens are equipped with 6-burner gas stoves and two full-size refrigerators along with ample storage space for food. Thought and care have been taken with the furnishings and décor ensuring the homes are not only comfortable but beautiful. Bedrooms are assigned a maximum of three residents with most housing only two. We believe personal space is important and refrain from overcrowded rooms. There is ample on-site and street parking. The women’s house was completely remodeled in 2020 and contains a second washer/dryer set. The men’s house contains a second living room and a home gym.

Our Neighborhood

Sunlight homes are located in the heart the historic Hillcrest neighborhood. This is a safe neighborhood with friendly eclectic residents, beautiful historic homes, and excellent shops and restaurants within walking distance. Hillcrest is centrally located within Little Rock, making most things less than a 10-minute drive away, including meetings. There is extremely easy access to public transportation with bus stops less than 5 minutes from each house. Plus, Hillcrest has two of the best coffee shops in the city: Mylo Coffee Roaster and River City Coffee.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of a group of passionate and compassionate individuals whose hearts and lives are dedicated to recovery. Each of the founders of Sunlight has long-term stable sobriety and has personally benefitted from a quality sober living environment early in their recoveries. It’s our desire to pay-it-forward by providing excellent sober living homes in central Arkansas. We maintain accountability through our policy that everyone from the business owners to house managers periodically submit to regular random drug screens. Our house managers are carefully selected to ensure they uphold our standards of integrity and quality.

Our Amenities, Extras, and Family Dinner

Our mattresses are all premium quality for maximum comfort of our residents. At Sunlight you will either have a Leesa, Casper, Purple mattress, or an innerspring mattress with a pillow-top or foam-topper. Each house has been outfitted with climate controls on each of the three-levels. To uphold our standard of cleanliness, both houses are professionally cleaned once-a-month to supplement the routine cleaning by the residents. We provide residents with award-winning Onyx Coffee which is based out of Northwest Arkansas and is a leader in sustainable practices.

Last but not least, Sunlight hosts a “family dinner” each Sunday. This is one of the most special things that we do and something that truly sets us apart. Each week both houses come together

and cook a healthy delicious meal together. The ingredients and recipes come from meal kits provided Sunbasket, which was selected because it is a company that lives up to its moLo: Healthy meals should taste good first and do good always. Sunbasket strives to use 100% organic ingredients and maximize sustainability in their packaging process. Through using high quality meal kits, residents are guided in the cooking process through easy to follow-directions and exposed to a wide variety of recipes. This weekly event has proven to be a cornerstone of Sunlight Sober Living Homes—bringing people together to relax, have fun, eat and laugh.
